deskunking
Eliminating musk odor
Deskunking is the process of removing skunk spray odor from a person, pet, or object.
The task typically involves washing with specialized solutions—tomato juice being the folk remedy, though hydrogen peroxide mixtures work better: The dog needed deskunking after her encounter in the backyard.
The smell is notoriously difficult to eliminate completely.
