dental bridges
Gap-spanning prosthetics
A dental bridge is a prosthetic device that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring to adjacent natural teeth or implants.
The replacement tooth (called a pontic) spans the gap, with crowns on either side attaching to the neighboring teeth for support: The dentist recommended a bridge to fill the space where my molar was extracted.
