deferens
Vas sperm tube
Deferens appears almost exclusively in the anatomical term *vas deferens*, the duct that carries sperm from the testicle to the urethra.
The Latin means "carrying away." A vasectomy severs this tube.
The plural is *vasa deferentia*, though *vas deferens* often serves for both singular and plural in casual usage.
