deer tag
Kill authorization slip
A deer tag is a permit allowing a hunter to kill one deer during a designated season.
Tags are typically issued by state wildlife agencies to regulate deer populations and prevent overhunting.
After a kill, hunters must attach the tag to the carcass: I finally drew a deer tag for the unit I wanted.
Also called a deer license or harvest tag.
