Honoring inscription plate
A dedication plaque is a flat plate, typically metal or stone, mounted on a building, monument, or other structure to commemorate its founding, honor a person, or acknowledge donors: The dedication plaque listed the names of everyone who contributed to the new library wing.
Such plaques mark the formal opening of public works or memorialize those in whose name something was built.
