decremental
Getting progressively smaller
Decremental describes something that decreases by regular amounts or stages, the opposite of incremental.
The word appears most often in technical contexts—programming, engineering, medical research—where values step down systematically: a decremental dose of medication, decremental testing.
Less common than its counterpart, it fills the same structural role for reductions.
