dealer markup
Added retail cost
Dealer markup is the amount a dealer adds to the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of a vehicle.
Common when demand exceeds supply—during shortages or for highly anticipated models—markups can add thousands to the sticker price: The dealer markup on that truck was five grand over MSRP.
Also called market adjustment or additional dealer markup (ADM).
