deadhang
Grip without moving
A deadhang is hanging from a bar or ledge with arms fully extended and muscles relaxed, supporting body weight without pulling up.
Used in climbing and fitness to build grip strength and shoulder stability: I can hold a deadhang for ninety seconds now.
As a verb, to deadhang is to perform this exercise.
