darner
Hole-weaving needle
A darner is someone who darns—that is, mends holes in fabric by weaving thread across the gap.
The term also refers to a darning needle, a long needle with a large eye used for this purpose.
In North American usage, darner commonly names a family of large dragonflies, so called because their slender bodies resemble darning needles.
She was an expert darner who could make repairs nearly invisible.
