custom frame
Made-to-order enclosure
A custom frame is a picture frame made to specific dimensions or specifications, as opposed to standard ready-made sizes.
Custom framing typically involves selecting materials, matting, and glass to suit a particular artwork or photograph: I took the print to a shop for custom framing.
The term also applies in other contexts where frames are built to order rather than purchased off the shelf.
