curved TV
Arc-shaped display panel
A curved TV is a television with a slightly concave screen, designed to wrap the image around the viewer's peripheral vision.
Marketed in the mid-2010s as more immersive than flat screens, curved TVs proved impractical for most living rooms—the effect only worked from a narrow viewing angle.
The technology quickly fell out of favor: Remember when everyone thought curved TVs were the future?
