Crumping is a style of street dance characterized by exaggerated, explosive movements—chest pops, arm swings, and stomping performed with intense energy and facial expressions.

It emerged from Los Angeles in the early 2000s as an expressive, almost combative form of dance: The crew was crumping in the parking lot.
