creation story
How everything began
A creation story is a narrative explaining how the world, humanity, or the universe came into being.
Most cultures have one—Genesis in the Bible, the Dreamtime in Aboriginal Australian tradition, the Big Bang in scientific cosmology.
Also called a creation myth, though myth doesn't imply falsehood here, just a foundational narrative: Every civilization has its own creation story.
