creation narrative
How everything began
A creation narrative is a story explaining how the world, humanity, or the universe came into being.
Most cultures have one—Genesis in the Bible, the Dreaming in Aboriginal Australian traditions, the Big Bang in modern cosmology.
The term is often used interchangeably with creation myth, though *narrative* avoids implying the story is false: The Navajo creation narrative describes emergence through four worlds.
