cow pats

Bovine waste discs

Cow pats are the flat, round deposits of dung left by cattle in fields and pastures.

The flattened shape distinguishes them from the droppings of other animals.

Fresh cow pats are soft and moist; dried ones become firm and were historically collected for fuel.

Also called cow patties or cow pies.
