cornerbacks
Receiver-shadowing defensive players
Cornerbacks are defensive players in American football who cover wide receivers and defend against passes.
They typically line up near the sidelines, opposite the offensive receivers they're assigned to guard.
The position demands speed, agility, and the ability to read plays quickly.
A cornerback's main responsibilities include preventing receptions, breaking up passes, and intercepting throws: Their cornerbacks shut down our passing game all night.
