cord cutters
Ditched the dish
Cord cutters are people who cancel their cable or satellite television subscriptions, typically in favor of streaming services.
The cord is the cable line, and cutting it means ending the relationship with traditional pay-TV providers: More cord cutters are switching to Netflix and Hulu every year.
The term emerged as streaming became viable and cable prices rose.
