colorimetric
Measuring by hue
Colorimetric describes measurement or analysis based on color.
In chemistry, colorimetric methods determine a substance's concentration by comparing the intensity of color in a solution against known standards: colorimetric analysis of water samples.
The approach extends to any technique that uses color change as an indicator: a colorimetric test for blood glucose.
