clouded leopards
Spotted jungle felines
Clouded leopards are medium-sized wild cats native to the forests of Southeast Asia, named for the distinctive cloud-shaped markings on their coats.
Despite the name, they are not closely related to leopards—they occupy their own genus.
Exceptional climbers with the longest canine teeth relative to body size of any living cat, they hunt in trees and on the ground: The clouded leopard descended the trunk headfirst.
