clawhammers
Curved-head pounders
Clawhammers are hammers with a curved, forked end opposite the striking face, designed for pulling nails.
The claw grips the nail shank while the handle provides leverage.
Clawhammer is also a banjo-picking technique where the hand strikes downward, fingers curled like a claw: He plays clawhammer style.
