cheat code
Secret button combo
A cheat code is a sequence of inputs or commands that unlocks hidden features in a video game—extra lives, invincibility, secret levels.
The term extends to any shortcut that bypasses normal effort: Knowing the CEO is like having a cheat code for getting hired.
The implication is unfair advantage, though often said with admiration.
