charge cycles

Recharge count limit

A charge cycle is one complete discharge and recharge of a rechargeable battery.

Battery lifespan is often measured in charge cycles—a laptop battery might be rated for 500 cycles before capacity degrades significantly.

A cycle doesn't require draining to zero; using 50% twice counts as one cycle.

My phone battery is degrading after two years of charge cycles.
