charcoal paper
Textured art sheets
Charcoal paper is textured drawing paper designed to hold charcoal, pastel, and other dry media.
Its slightly rough or toothy surface grips loose pigment particles that would slide off smooth paper.
The texture creates subtle grain effects in finished drawings: She preferred charcoal paper with a laid finish for portraits.
