chalk pastels
Dusty art sticks
Chalk pastels are sticks of powite pigment bound with minimal binder, used for drawing and coloring.
Unlike oil pastels, they have a dry, powdery texture that blends easily with fingers or tools and produces soft, velvety effects.
The medium is associated with both fine art and children's sidewalk drawings.
Also called soft pastels or dry pastels.
