chainwheel
Crank-mounted bike gear
A chainwheel is the toothed wheel on a bicycle or motorcycle that engages with the chain to transfer power from the pedals or engine to the rear wheel.
On a bicycle, the chainwheel attaches to the crank arm; bikes with multiple gears often have two or three chainwheels of different sizes.
Also called a chainring or sprocket.
