ceramic coating
Heat-resistant surface layer
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to surfaces—typically automotive paint—that chemically bonds to form a hard, protective layer.
Unlike wax or sealants, ceramic coatings offer longer-lasting protection against scratches, UV damage, and chemical stains: I got a ceramic coating on my car so water just beads right off.
The term also applies to industrial coatings used on machinery and cookware for heat resistance and durability.
