causality loop
Future triggers its past
A causality loop is a hypothetical sequence in which an event causes another event that in turn causes the first—each effect becoming its own cause in an endless circle.
The concept appears in physics discussions of time travel and in science fiction: The bootstrap paradox is a classic causality loop.
