cartoon series
Drawn episodic program
A cartoon series is an animated television program produced as a sequence of episodes, typically featuring recurring characters and ongoing storylines or self-contained adventures.
The term usually implies content aimed at children, though many cartoon series target adult audiences with mature themes and humor.
We spent Saturday mornings watching our favorite cartoon series.
The format ranges from brief segments to full half-hour episodes, and successful ones often spawn merchandise, films, and cultural phenomena.
