Adhesive wound strip
A butterfly bandage is a thin adhesive strip shaped like a bow tie or butterfly, with sticky ends and a narrow non-adhesive middle.
It pulls wound edges together without stitches, used for small cuts that need more than a regular bandage but less than sutures: The nurse closed the gash with butterfly bandages.
Also called a butterfly closure or Steri-Strip.
