buck-and-wing

Percussive solo dance

A buck-and-wing is a solo tap dance combining flat-footed stomping (the buck) with flapping wing-like arm movements and intricate footwork.

It developed in American minstrel shows and vaudeville during the late 19th century: He finished the act with a buck-and-wing that brought down the house.
