breastfeeding rights
Lactation legal safeguards
Breastfeeding rights are legal protections allowing mothers to nurse their infants in public spaces and workplaces.
In most U.S. states and many countries, laws explicitly permit breastfeeding anywhere a mother is otherwise allowed to be: She knew her breastfeeding rights and nursed confidently at the restaurant.
Workplace protections typically require employers to provide break time and private space for pumping.
