brainwashers

Those who reprogram

Brainwashers are people who systematically manipulate others' beliefs through psychological pressure, isolation, or repetition.

The term carries hostile connotations—applied to cult leaders, propagandists, or authoritarian regimes rather than ordinary persuaders: The documentary exposed the brainwashers running the organization.

Parents sometimes use it loosely about influences they distrust: Those video games are brainwashers.
