book club members
Literary circle participants
Book club members are the people who participate in a book club—a group that meets regularly to discuss selected readings.
The term often carries connotations of suburban leisure, wine-fueled discussions, and middle-aged women, though book clubs vary widely: The book club members disagreed sharply about the ending.
Sometimes used dismissively to suggest amateur or unsophisticated readers.
