boogie boards
Foam surf sleds
Boogie boards are short, lightweight foam boards used for riding waves while lying prone.
Unlike surfboards, they're designed for bodyboarding—catching waves close to shore and riding them belly-down: The kids spent all afternoon on their boogie boards.
The name comes from the Morey Boogie, an early brand that became genericized.
