bond holder
Fixed-income investor
A bond holder is someone who owns bonds—debt securities issued by governments or corporations.
When you buy a bond, you're essentially lending money to the issuer in exchange for periodic interest payments and return of principal at maturity.
Bond holders are creditors, not owners: if a company fails, they get paid before stockholders but have no voting rights.
The bond holders agreed to restructure the debt.
