blur background
Obscure the backdrop
Blur background is a camera or software effect that keeps a subject sharp while rendering the surroundings out of focus.
The technique mimics shallow depth of field, drawing attention to the foreground subject: The portrait mode on my phone automatically blurs the background.
Common in video calls, photography apps, and professional portraiture.
