tilt shift
Fake miniature effect
Tilt shift is a photographic technique that manipulates the plane of focus to create unusual depth-of-field effects.
The name comes from camera movements—tilting and shifting the lens relative to the image sensor.
Most commonly, tilt shift creates a miniature effect, making real scenes look like tiny models: The tilt-shift photo made the city look like a toy train set.
Originally requiring specialized lenses, the effect is now often simulated digitally.
