blue raspberry
Fictional fruit taste
Blue raspberry is a flavor found in candy, slushies, and other sweets—bright blue and vaguely berry-like, though it bears little resemblance to actual raspberries.
The color distinguishes it from red raspberry products.
The flavor originated in the 1970s when manufacturers needed a visual contrast for cherry and strawberry: I'll have the blue raspberry slushie.
