blind shot
Aim without seeing
A blind shot is one taken without being able to see the target.
In golf, a blind shot occurs when terrain or obstacles block the view of the green.
In basketball or pool, it means shooting without looking.
In video games, especially shooters, it's firing around cover without exposing yourself to aim: I got lucky with a blind shot through the smoke.
