blind corners
Obscured road bends
Blind corners are turns or bends where visibility is severely limited—you can't see what's coming from the other direction until you're already in the intersection.
Common in driving contexts: Slow down at blind corners.
The phrase extends to any situation where you can't anticipate what's ahead: Negotiations are full of blind corners.
