Dark traditional cleanser
Black soap is a traditional African cleanser made from plant ash, oils, and other natural ingredients, producing a soft, dark-colored soap.
Originally from West Africa, particularly Ghana and Nigeria, it's used for skin and hair care: Black soap cleared up my acne.
Commercial versions vary widely from the handmade original.
