birth plans
Labor wish list
Birth plans are documents outlining a pregnant person's preferences for labor and delivery—pain management choices, who should be present, interventions to avoid, and similar decisions.
They're typically shared with medical staff beforehand: We went over our birth plan with the midwife.
The plural often refers to the general practice of making such plans rather than multiple documents.
