Bejabbers is a mild Irish oath expressing surprise or emphasis, a euphemistic alteration of "by Jesus": Bejabbers, I nearly forgot!
Like similar expressions (begorrah, begosh), it appears mainly in stage-Irish dialect or humorous contexts.
The variant scare the bejabbers out of someone means to frighten them badly.
