A beer flight is a sampler of several small pours, typically four to six, served together for tasting.
The glasses usually arrive in a wooden paddle or tray, allowing comparison of different styles or breweries: We ordered a flight of their seasonal ales.
The term borrows from wine tasting, where flight has the same meaning.
