bankbooks
Savings account records
Bankbooks are small booklets issued by banks to record deposits, withdrawals, and account balances.
Before electronic banking, customers brought their bankbooks to the bank to have transactions entered, creating a running record of their savings.
The term persists but the objects themselves have largely been replaced by statements and online access.
