ball hog
Never shares possession
A ball hog is a player who dominates possession rather than passing to teammates: Nobody wants to play with a ball hog.
The term comes from basketball but applies to any team sport.
It implies selfishness—prioritizing personal stats or glory over team success.
The criticism extends beyond sports to anyone who monopolizes a shared resource.
