glory hound
Craves public praise
A glory hound is someone who seeks attention, praise, or credit, often at the expense of others or the task at hand.
The term is mildly derogatory, suggesting selfishness or showboating: He's such a glory hound—always making sure the boss sees him working late.
Athletes, soldiers, and coworkers who prioritize personal recognition over team success often earn the label.
