b-word

Vulgar complaint verb

B-word is a euphemism used to avoid saying a taboo or offensive word beginning with B—most often *bitch*, sometimes *bastard* or other terms depending on context.

Like similar constructions (n-word, f-word, c-word), it allows reference to the word without speaking it directly: She called me the b-word.

The euphemism appears in settings where the actual word would be inappropriate or where a speaker wants to acknowledge the word's offensiveness.
