aperture-priority
Depth-of-field control
Aperture-priority is a camera setting where the photographer selects the aperture (the size of the lens opening) and the camera automatically adjusts shutter speed for proper exposure.
This gives creative control over depth of field—how much of the image stays in focus—while letting the camera handle the math: I shoot portraits in aperture-priority to keep the background blurry.
