angel investment
Early venture capital
Angel investment is funding provided to early-stage startups by wealthy individuals, typically in exchange for equity or convertible debt.
Unlike venture capital firms, angel investors use their personal funds and often invest smaller amounts at earlier stages—sometimes when a company is just an idea.
Angels may also contribute expertise and connections: She got her angel investment from a former tech executive who now mentors her.
